Do you struggle with what audio samples to use as demos? With the audiobook industry growing ever more competitive, how do you create a demo that will really stand out from the crowd? As we all know, narrating audiobooks and marketing your services are two totally different skills. Even really talented narrators sometimes struggle to create demos that work for them. That's why I've created a new master class to demystify the art of creating effective audiobook demos. Learn how to cultivate demos throughout your career that not only demonstrate your skills, but capture a casting director's (or authors) attention. Topics will include demo best practices, creating an overall demo strategy to showcase your versatility, using demos to get the work you want, choosing effective demo material, and how to give your demos that little "extra" to make them stand out. The default sign up for this course is as an auditor. Auditors will be able to ask questions and participate in discussions. At the end of the course, each auditor will have the opportunity to submit three sample demo scripts for feedback on whether they would make good demo material and one audiobook demo up to 5 minutes in length for feedback on the performance itself. Feedback for both of these will be conducted by email after the course is complete. Participants of the class will go through the course material and work with Emily one on one on creating their personal demo strategy, choosing texts, and strengthening their demo's performance. To join the class as a participant, be sure to purchase the participant add on during sign up. Spots are limited. This class is suitable for narrators of all levels; though narrators whose performance is already at a competitive level will get the most benefit from it. This group class will be recorded via zoom. By signing up for the class, you're agreeing to being recorded. Please note there are only FIVE sessions. We will not be meeting Thursday 11/26 despite the schedule saying we have a session that day.
